The lodge has a boma (round outdoor cultural eating area) where guests can enjoy drinks around the fire before dinner. The enclosed outdoor viewing lounge allows guests to view the animals as they come down to the watering hole. Game walks and drives to nearby reserves are available daily. Bushlands Game Lodge has an abundance of birdlife on the property and is registered as a birder friendly establishment. This is a great lodge offering guests a variety of cultural activites including a visit to the snake and crocodile park and game drives to the neighbouring national parks. Dumazulu has a lovely outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers and well maintained gardens. The lodge is connected by wooden walkways to Dumazulu Village, where guests can watch and learn about Zulu traditions including basket-weaving, spear and shield making, beadwork, pot-making, Sangoma bone-throwing and spectacular Zulu dancing. The Dumazulu Traditional Village is home to over 50 Zulu residents forming part of a "living museum".
