A quaint, typical English styled hotel that is ideal for those wanting a more personal hotel stay. The hotel is an ideal base for visiting the Lake District. Hard to beat for tranquility and relaxation. The rooms in this charming country hotel all differ in size and shape, as the building is very old. The rooms are all decorated in traditional style and are very comfortable and of a good standard. The rooms are all fitted with tea-coffee making facilities, Tv etc. The restaurant has huge glass windows overlooking the gardens. It is a formal restaurant offering a traditional atmosphere and very fine cuisine. There is a very small check in area. There is however a large reception room where clients can relax in comfortable chairs in a relaxed atmosphere.
