Splendid views are the protagonist from its extraordinary swimming pool, landscapes areas, courtyard and Mudejar fountain. Elegant and light-filled bedrooms, the ones of the fourth floor has a balcony overlooking the "Vega del Cordobes". One of the most beautiful of all Paradores Restaurants, whose menu boasts a rich and varied selection of dishes made with local produce. The entrance to the parador is the parade ground once in the castle halls and passages we find sharp swords, banners and other trappings of the age rest in glass cases, arousing the curiosity of visitors. The decor of the parador is a mixture of traditional Dark wood and typical Andalusian coloured ceramic tiles.

Location

The parador "Alcazar del Rey Don Pedro" as it is known was built on the Alcazar de Arriba, one of the three moorish fortresses of the town. It was used as a residence by king Don Pedro I who turned it into a luxurious Palace, It was also the residence of the Catholic Monarchs during their camping against Granada. The Parador stands on a hill with a view of the betis valley and the fertile farmland surrounding it.
