General Info

The hotel is suitable not only for business but also for sightseeing. It is filled with cultural elements inside and outside the hotel. It is only two blocks away from both Yamagata Museum and Bunshokan, a national heritage building build at the beginning of the twenty-century. In Yamagata, Yamadera is also a tourist attraction that should not be missed. The temple in a mountain is known for haiku (Japanese traditional poem) composed by the Haiku master, Basho, in Edo era. Zao area is also popular among tourists due to the hot springs, hiking route amid rich nature in summer and winter sports and silver frost in winter. It is accessible by bus in front of JR Yamagata station. All rooms are medium size, with simple decor. All are equipped with Mini-bar, Television and, in some rooms, Internet access available. Double room has 140cm wide bed. Bathroom is small but in good condition. There are three restaurants, French, Chinese and Japanese Cuisine. All provide fresh food from the local markets in different style. A bar and a coffee lounge are also available. It is medium with some sitting space. There are some pictures and sculptures that create a museum-like atmosphere in the lobby.

Location

The hotel is located in the heart of Yamagata City, at the centre of Nanoka-machi street where the famous Hanagasa Festival is held every summer. It takes 15 minutes by walk or 5 minutes by car from JR Yamagata station, where the Bullet Train (Yamagata Shinkansen) serves. From Tokyo, it takes approximately 150 min by the Bullet Train. From Yamagata Airport, it takes 30 minutes by car or 45 minutes by the airport bus to the nearest station.
