Our intimate resort consists of four traditional Cambodian wooden houses surrounding a freshwater pool in lush tropical gardens. Each house has a history of its own. We have “rescued” our houses from properties destined to demolition due to tourist development in Siem Reap town. Our wooden cottages were then skilfully put back together to recreate their original shape and size without the need to acquire more wood. All houses were refurbished to ensure the highest levels of comfort for our guests. Traditional Khmer architecture blends seamlessly with modern, clean and simple décor and provides the perfect canvas for our unique rustic accessories.
In our manicured tropical gardens we grow as much of our own organic produce as we can – feel free to explore and learn about our herbs, vegetables and fruits many of which feature on our menu. The resort is surrounded by rice fields and only a few steps away from a pre-Angkorian village constructed in a circular fashion. You are never too far from a picturesque moment happening right in front of you – be it a herd of water buffaloes having a mud bath, cows returning home at the end of the day, various stages of rice harvest taking place or perhaps colorful village festivities up the road – all of this is a part of your stay and the show we have put on for you!

Angkor Rural Boutique Resort is a small property hidden in the green heart of rural Cambodia, yet only a short distance from all the attractions you have come to see. It is located 7km east of Siem Reap, approximately15 minutes by moto-remork(‘tuk-tuk’) or 10 minutes by taxi. The temples of Angkor are 12km north from our resort and the Rolous temple group dating back to the 9th century lies mere 8km east following the national Route #6 and it is 10 minutes walk to Svay Thom-Local Market.
